Best thing happened : Hot Cocoa and December.

Hot cocoa and this weather yay! It smells like December end, rosy lovely winter season and for wonders Mumbai is experiencing cold this year and no more guesses people I am here with my fourth cuppa (article). I had to write before this year ends as a lot has happened over these months and right now I am only going to talk about the best things that happened as not so good things can always wait! (Yes, after seven months because best things take time :))

I became a proud mother. Yes, a mother to this beautiful, charming and the most adorable my almost 8 month old Labrador Mhysa. Mhysa is the best thing happened to me this year and the coincidence is that she came in my life on the Mother's Day. Well they say love if unconditional is the right kinda love and I am lucky to have experienced it. Normal days of life have never been normal there after. Coming home to someone jumping with joy seeing you every single day no matter what has happened isn't it heavenly?

My not so dog or animal lover friends might not get it but I will try to put it in simple words as I can. There is a very famous quote by Charlie Chaplin (Needs no introduction)"You need power only when you want to do something harmful otherwise love is enough to get everything done". Mhysa is a living example of this Charlie Chaplin quote, she has nothing to give but love just unconditional love, zero expectations and appears as if she has faith that she will always be taken care of and showered with same love and affection. For me they are the second best creation of God after Mothers. We live in a city (Mumbai) endured with prolonged work hours, hectic commute, housing woes and a near-zero social life, this just says we live in a complex world and to deal with it let's just stay simple with our thoughts. The world out may be a cut throat kind but I don't see myself running in that race. How about we just be real, responsible, nice and smiling always? It's difficult all the time but let's just try, I am going to give it a try in the coming year as a new year promise to myself (New year resolution sounds too boring, Promise is more positive) . Oh and then I believe a lot in Karma so let's not be God and take decisions in our hands, leave it to him. Yes, yes I have learnt to be patient you must be wondering, Mhysa has made me patient :) I mean I have witnessed her naughty antics like my broken heels, teared apart cushions, chewing my earphones, nail impressions on my table and chairs with lots of spilling water all over the house, yet I love her more every single day.

                                                           Mhysa
Oh and I can't end this conversation with you guys without mentioning this soulmate of mine Shikha, Mhysa is a gift from her. I call Mhysa God's child because she is blessed with an aunt like Shikha who is currently also being the mother to Mhysa along with her own other four fur babies. Shikha my soulmate/bestie/jaan got married this November and it’s the other best event that happened this year, her wedding made me believe in love more. I wish her all the happiness in the world and I know she is a rock star.

Ops! Need to refill my cup till then why don't you make a list of the best things happened to this year? Hurry up!! Just one more day.

Happy Reading! Keep blooming as always!

Cheers,
Amruta
